I’m Michael Lee, and I’m running for Multnomah County Judge because I believe in fair and accessible justice for every person who walks through our courtroom doors.

Having served as a prosecutor for over a decade and as an officer in the Oregon Army National Guard for over 14 years, I’ve dedicated my career to public service. But serving the community doesn’t stop when a trial ends, it continues in how people experience our justice system every day.

A Strong Judiciary Should Be

Fair and Impartial

Everyone deserves to feel heard and understand the process. Whether they are plaintiffs, defendants, victims, or families, my goal is to ensure every voice is respected and every decision is understandable and grounded in law and fairness.

Timely and Efficient

Justice delayed is justice denied. I will work to reduce bottlenecks and ensure cases move as quickly and thoughtfully as possible, without sacrificing fairness or due process.

Trustworthy and Transparent

Public trust in our courts depends on transparency, consistency, and integrity. I will honor the Constitution of the United States, the Constitution of Oregon, and apply the statutes and case law with consistency and empathy.

Why I am Running

Public Service That Matters

I’ve prosecuted a wide range of criminal cases, from misdemeanors to serious felonies, and have taken more than 70 cases to trial. Through each case, I learned the value of listening, learning, and applying the law in a way that respects individuals and strengthens community safety.

A Balanced Judicial Perspective

My years in the courtroom as an attorney, combined with leadership experience in the military, have prepared me to make measured and thoughtful decisions even under pressure.

Representation That Counts

As the son of South Korean immigrants, I know firsthand the value of inclusion and diverse voices in leadership. I believe judges should reflect the broad experiences of our community.
